Explorers are the fourth section of the Scouting movement.

Explorers are a District wide provision supported by a District Explorer Scout Commissioner (DESC)

Canterbury District have several Units (please see drop down menu) that meet across the District at different locations and on different nights offering the age groups a wide choice to participate.

You can meet regularly with friends at one of our units as well as attend the monthly District meetings, take part in D of E, become a Young Leader or take out a Scout permit so you can do adventurous activities such as Lead Climbing, Hillwalking, Kayaking,Sailing, archery etc.or become an activities instructor.

Often Explorers socialise or arrange trips such as toboggan run, ice rink, canal boating, hovercrafting and the seaside for BBQs. Compliment this with camping and expeditions and you will be sure to have a great time.

If that's not enough you can join Explorers from around the County and take part in Kent based or UK based activities

To find out more please contact the Explorer Commissioner
