St Georges Day Celebrated

On the 23rd April all groups from the Canterbury district came together to celebrate St Georges day. The afternoon saw all the grouped gather as one in the Dane John Gardens before parading across the city wall and through the city centre to the famous Cathedral, led all the way by Youth Commissioners Jamie Bentley and Sean Drury. The district then joined in a special service led by the district Chaplin. During the service, promises we renewed and some special awards given out. These included: John Redwood of 1st Reculver receiving a Medal of Merit, Oliver Nelson receiving the County Commissioners award for his perseverance and dedication to scouting and Luke Clark receiving the District Commissioners award for his continued assistance to Oliver.
